Shoot To Thrill is a side job in which V enters a pistol contest at the shooting range of Robert Wilson, owner of the 2nd Amendment gun shop in Megabuilding H10, Little China, Watson. Some time after Playing for Time, Wilson calls with news of the competition, which he hopes will drum up some business. First prize is an Iconic pistol.

Story

Fun Prizes

Johnny mocks the idea in the journal. A shooting range competition? He wonders what fun prizes are up for grabs. A giant teddy bear? An inflatable sword? A tiny plastic football? Whatever it is, V can enjoy it, because Johnny is sitting this one out. He does not much like it when people treat weapons like toys.

The Contest

Wilson's shop sits across the atrium from V's apartment. At the range, V joins five other competitors, though one is thrown out straight away for breaking Wilson's rule: pistols only. After Wilson's instructions, everyone takes position. When the contest starts, the goal is simple: hit the targets as many times as possible before time runs out.

After the contest, Wilson hands out the prizes. With enough Reflexes, V can ask about his situation. Wilson admits that business is down, and that the contest did nothing to help his sales. He considers it a failure. Otherwise, V can just say goodbye.

Shoot To Thrill Map Location and Walkthrough

Shoot To Thrill map location:

  1. Answer Wilson's call some time after Playing for Time.
  2. Go to Wilson's shooting range at the 2nd Amendment in Megabuilding H10 and talk to him.
  3. Enter the shooting range and listen to Wilson's instructions.
  4. Get into position at booth 4.
  5. Draw and aim the pistol, and wait for the competition to begin.
  6. Shoot the targets. Forty hits are enough to win.
  7. Go to Wilson and collect the reward.
  8. Talk to Wilson.

Rewards

Completing Shoot To Thrill pays €$ 1,200 (1st); 500 (2nd), 266 experience and 397 Street Cred. It also rewards Lexington x-MOD2 (depending on choices).

First place wins the Iconic power pistol Lexington x-MOD2 and €$ 1,500. Second place pays €$ 500. The job also pays experience and Street Cred.

Tips

Save before the contest starts, as an Iconic weapon is on the line. A pistol with a high rate of fire and a large magazine works best, such as the Unity, the Lexington or Dying Night. Pistols that fire several projectiles per shot, like Lizzie and Death and Taxes, score a point for each projectile. The targets in other lanes count too, so shoot at those as well. Scoring more than forty brings no extra reward.

Notes

  • The Morgan Blackhand: Street Iron shard can be picked up during this job, and nowhere else.
  • Before the 2.0 update, first prize was a different pistol, which now comes from the earlier job The Gun.
  • The job is named after the AC/DC song Shoot to Thrill.
