Dying Night is V's own pistol, tuned by the gunsmith Robert Wilson and handed back for free near the start of the game. It is a fast-firing sidearm that rewards movement and quick follow-up shots. Its damage climbs the faster V moves. Several quick hits on a target are sure to cause Shock. It comes very early, and it can stay in use for the whole game. Dying Night is an early reward from the side job The Gun. Robert Wilson gives it out at his shop near V's apartment in Little China.
Combat
Dying Night is a light, quick pistol with a high rate of fire. Its first Iconic bonus rises with movement speed. V hits hardest while sprinting, sliding or dodging between targets. The second bonus rewards fast, accurate fire. Several quick hits on the same enemy are sure to cause Shock, which adds a burst of Electrical damage. Its headshot bonus and armor penetration are solid for a starting pistol.

Character Builds
Dying Night works best in a Cool build with pistol perks. Run 'N' Gun removes the Stamina cost of hip-firing pistols. It also adds movement speed while Focus is active, which raises the pistol's damage bonus. Focus itself adds headshot damage. Quick Draw speeds up the swap to the pistol. From the Reflexes tree, Dash and Steady Grip let V shoot while Dashing, so the movement bonus stays high while firing.
For cyberware, the Kerenzikov slows time when V aims during a slide, dodge or Dash. The Leeroy Ligament System raises movement speed directly. The Ballistic Coprocessor raises ricochet chance and damage with Power weapons.

Lore
Dying Night is the Iconic variant of the Militech M-10AF Lexington. It is V's own gun, left with Wilson at some point for tuning. Its description says the gun gives V the extra hope of seeing yet another Night City sunrise. Wilson calls V over the first time V leaves the apartment. The gun is waiting, and it costs nothing.
