Small Man, Big Mouth is a side job open only to a Streetkid V. After Jackie's ofrenda in Heroes, Kirk Sawyer, an old acquaintance from V's days on the street, calls with a job that sounds too good to be true: experimental Militech cyberware, straight from a lab in Shanghai, waiting to be lifted from a van in Arroyo, Santo Domingo.
Story
Kirk's Promise
The journal drips with sarcasm. Kirk says this time everything will go smoothly. It is totally safe, there is zero risk, and the payout is big. So what is V waiting for? Nothing could possibly go wrong.
Kirk waits on the second floor of El Coyote Cojo. He explains the score: the Militech cyberware is up for grabs, and he and his partner, Big Joe, will split the take with V evenly. He swears the place is clear, and sends V the coordinates of the meeting point.
The Auto Shop
The van is parked at the Tirempire Auto Shop in Arroyo. The place is not clear at all. Valentinos guard it, two outside and four more in the garage. After dealing with them, V opens the back doors of the van and finds no cyberware, only a fake SAMURAI jacket.
The Trap
Gunshots sound in the distance, and V goes looking for Kirk and Big Joe. At the meeting point stands a Valentino named Thomas Hays with two of his thugs. They seem to have shot Kirk and Big Joe, and they tell V the whole job was a trap to lure Kirk in and kill him. V can walk away or take the Valentinos down, and either way the job ends.

Choices
Walking Away
Telling Thomas Hays "I'm a gonk little..." avoids the fight, at the cost of V's pride. Fighting him is the other way out, and either choice ends the job.
Rewards
Completing Small Man, Big Mouth rewards SEMURAI crystaljock bomber.
The fake SAMURAI jacket from the van is V's to keep. Since a later patch, one of the Valentinos carries it instead. The job also pays experience and Street Cred.
Tips
Kirk claims there are no guards, but the Valentinos at the garage are tough, so a level above 30 makes this job easier. Hays and his men hit hard, and the fight starts at close range. Move V near cover before the talk ends, or open fire before they draw their weapons. Breach Protocol and other quickhacks that do not harm can be used during the talk without starting a fight, which weakens their defences.
