Biography

The Netrunner

Spider began running the net as a child, hacking her way into a new cyberdeck from a corporate sales office. She met Rache Bartmoss after warning him about a threat, and he trained her. The two became close friends, and with other legends of the net they did things everyone else thought impossible. Spider used custom gear faster and safer than any corporate runner's, and she preferred quiet, non-lethal programs to Bartmoss's flashy and deadly ones. She liked quoting philosophers.

Bartmoss

Bartmoss confessed his love for Spider shortly before he released a plague of programs that wrecked the old net and died. Grieving and wanting revenge, she joined Militech's attack on Arasaka and insisted on a place in Johnny Silverhand's team, sent to destroy the new Soulkiller in Arasaka Tower.

The Raid

In the Soulkiller lab, Spider broke through the doors and reached Alt Cunningham inside the network. She wiped Soulkiller from the system and took a piece of it with her. When Adam Smasher and Arasaka troops cut off their escape, she scattered Alt into the net in the hope of finding her one day. She watched Johnny challenge Smasher and die, and she tried to reach his body, but Rogue stopped her. She escaped with the others before the bomb destroyed the tower. Afterwards she helped take revenge on Arasaka's leadership.
