Ticket to the Major Leagues is a cyberpsycho sighting for Regina Jones on the docks of Little China, Watson. Regina warns of suspicious, maybe drug related activity at a warehouse there, and of a suspect who hits hard. The cyberpsycho is Alec Johnson, an Afterlife merc who tried to treat his first symptoms with drugs. What he took was Glitter.

Story

Self Treatment

The journal says that not everyone copes with the first symptoms of cyberpsychosis the same way. Some throw themselves off a bridge. Others turn themselves in to the police. And most of the rest try to treat themselves with sedatives, as many as they can get, no matter the cost.

The Warehouse

Near the warehouses, V finds a dead security guard, killed by a blunt weapon: wrong place, wrong time. Inside the compound, banging echoes, and more bodies lie around, dead workers and a dead corpo. Alec is pounding on a garage door.

Glitter

A report on the corpo tells the story of the warehouse. It is a distribution point for Glitter, and profits are handsome. The guard, Frankie, says the Glitter cut with paracetamol sells best. Break ins have grown, because the newest blend is highly addictive, and Frankie asked for more guards. The writer refused, and threatened to replace him with a Kang Tao robot. Worse, reports show a rise in cyberpsychosis that matches their distribution network exactly, and the writer plans to leave that out of the report.

Alec

The second shard is Alec's own letter to someone named Blake. Work in Night City is going fine, he writes, though the competition is fierce and he had to spend more on new chrome than planned. It was hard to find himself in his new body, a sort of out of body feeling, but all is fixed now. He feels close to the job that will take them to the next level, his ticket to the major leagues, and promises to land it in a blaze of chrome, fire and style.

Approach the docks in Little China and answer Regina's call.
Head for the warehouses and disable or avoid the cameras.
Find the cyberpsycho, Alec Johnson, banging on a garage door in the compound.
Sneak up behind him for a non lethal takedown, or fight him.
Neutralise the threat.
Search the area, and read the shards "Glitter" and "Ticket to the Major Leagues".
Message Regina about the sighting.

Choices

Alec's Fate

If V keeps Alec alive, Regina praises V for bringing him in. If he dies, she still praises the work, but is sad he did not make it.

Regina pays eddies, and the sighting adds experience and Street Cred.

Tips

If the sneak attack fails, Alec retreats to the helipad and shoots from there, so stay close to him.
