Villefort is an American maker of full size cars for people with money but without a corporate jet. Its limousines and sedans fill the better districts of Night City, and its vans do the city's deliveries. Every model is named after a famous explorer or conqueror, which has caused the company more trouble than its engineering ever did. Judy drives a Villefort van, and so does half of Watson.
History
Villefort built its reputation on solid, full size cars aimed at wealthy citizens and at corporate staff below the rank that gets a driver. The cars are well made rather than exciting, which is the point.
The naming caused a scandal. Villefort takes its model names from explorers and conquerors such as Cortes, Narvaez and Alvarado, and rival makers pointed out in public that almost every one of those men was responsible for an atrocity. The controversy did the company no harm at all. Sales went up.
Villefort is one of the makers Rayfield brought into its CrystalCoat partnership, so some of its models can change their colour on demand.
Vehicles
Villefort builds five model lines. The Alvarado is the limousine, sold as the V4F 570 Delegate for €$ 38,000, the V4FC 580 Playboy and the V4FH 570 Herman. The Cortes is the big sedan, with the V5000 Valor at €$ 28,000 alongside the V3000 and the V6000. The Deleon is the American coupe, sold as the V400 and as the V410-S. The Columbus is the delivery van, sold as the V340-F Freight for €$ 19,000. The Narvaez completes the range.
The custom versions are as common as the factory ones. The Alvarado "Vato" belongs to a Valentino and comes from Beat on the Brat: The Glen. Judy's Columbus "Sea Dragon" is parked outside her apartment. The Cortes V6000 NCPD Overlord is the city's patrol car, and the same model in Delamain colours is the cab that drives itself.
