Lore
Villefort builds the Alvarado, and the in-game Database sums it up in one line: nobody rides in an Alvarado, they cruise in one. It calls the car a boat with an engine that earns respect on the street.
The Database says the double front axles help the Alvarado handle well despite its huge size. The same design is still unreliable, though. It needs frequent maintenance, and the repairs are often expensive. Night City's underworld loves the car anyway, because it shows off luxury in the loudest way. Wide seats covered in synthetic leather make long cruises comfortable.
