The Alvarado "Vato" is a gold Valentinos limousine that V can win in a street fight in Heywood. It belongs to the boxer Cesar, who stakes it instead of cash. It is a long, heavy luxury cruiser with rear-wheel drive and a loud gang look. Players want it for style, and for the small story that comes with it. V can win the Vato in Act 2 by beating Cesar in Beat on the Brat: The Glen.

The Vato is a big executive limousine with rear-wheel drive. It is one of the heavier cars V can own, and its long body asks for wide turns.

- Start the Beat on the Brat side job and reach the fight in The Glen, Heywood.
- Stake the eddies V is asked for against Cesar's car.
- Win the fist fight against Cesar Diego Ruiz.
- Choose to take the car when the fight is over.

- Start Beat on the Brat: The Glen and meet Cesar Diego Ruiz at the fight spot in The Glen.
- Accept the wager of eddies against Cesar's Alvarado "Vato".
- Fight Cesar with fists or blunt melee only.
- Keep distance when he blurs forward for his big punch, then sidestep to the right.
- Punch his head while he is open, then back off to recover stamina.
- Repeat until Cesar goes down.
- Choose to take the car, with or without his money, and the Vato becomes V's.
The map shows the fight spot of Beat on the Brat in The Glen, where V wins the car from Cesar.

Lore
The Vato is a custom Alvarado V4FC 580 from Villefort, painted gold and covered in Valentinos decals. Its owner is Cesar Diego Ruiz, a Valentino and the boxing champion of The Glen. Cesar's girlfriend Micaela has a baby on the way, so Cesar puts his ride on the line rather than cash. V stakes eddies against it.
After the fight, V decides what to take. V can take the car, the money, both, or neither. The choice changes how Cesar and Micaela talk about V afterwards. Later in the game Cesar may send V a photo of the newborn child.
Notes
- Taking only the money leaves the car with Cesar, and V can later see it parked outside the El Dorado pawn shop.
- Leaving Cesar his money while keeping the car still brings his friendly message about the baby.
