The Ash of War: Flame Skewer is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Flame Art affinity and the Flame Skewer skill. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.
Flame Skewer is the skill of Queelign of the Fire Knights: the wielder wreathes the weapon in flame, drops into a low stance and skewers the enemy in a single upward thrust. A strong attack input follows up with a sweep of flame from the free hand. Using the skill also coats the weapon in fire for a short time, adding flat fire damage. It suits Faith and fire builds using thrusting weapons that want burst damage.
Stats
It grants the Flame Art affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Heavy, Keen, Quality or Fire. The skill costs 18 FP. It fits Straight Sword, Light Greatsword, Greatsword, Colossal Sword, Thrusting Sword, Heavy Thrusting Sword, Katana, Great Katana, Twinblade, Spear, Great Spear, Halberd and Thrusting Shield.

Skill
The thrust looks like Giant Hunt but comes out faster and does not launch enemies, so it is better for quick punishes. Add the flame follow-up when the target stays close, since its fire damage scales with Faith. Only the initial thrust can be parried.
