Ancient Vault - Carpenter is an Ancient Vault in the Low Meadows, the eastern part of the Springlands. Cade Hawthorn, the Carpenter, sleeps here in a Cinder Vessel. It is the only craftsperson vault that lies fully inside the Shroud. The Alchemist sends players here in the quest Carpentry Assistance. A gold chest and two silver chests make the trip worth the Shroud time.
Where to Find Ancient Vault - Carpenter - Map Location
The vault sits in the Shroud south of the Ancient Spire - Low Meadows. The Carpentry Camp and the village of Morwenna lie a short way to the west. A Flame Sanctum stands just east of the vault. A Flame Altar on the high ground above the vault makes a safe base for the trip.

Quests
The Alchemist gives Carpentry Assistance after Flame Altar And Base Improvements (1) and Powerful Alchemy. He believes another vault may hold a survivor who can help with building and storage. The Carpenter has to be woken and then placed in the base with a Summoning Staff. Shroud Survival Flasks help, since the whole trip runs inside the Shroud.

Chests
A silver chest stands in the first room, and a wooden chest in the second. After the second room, a broken bridge leads on to a rubble wall. Break it to reach the second silver chest. Underground, turn left right after the door and look for a secret wall. It hides one more wooden chest.

Hidden Chests
A rubble wall inside the vault hides a silver chest, and a secret wall underground hides a wooden one. Outside, a gold chest lies buried by a gravestone and a wooden chest sits on top of a pillar.
Silver chest behind the rubble wall
- Go through the first two chambers of the vault.
- Find the broken wooden walkway on the left, after the second chamber.
- Jump across it to the wall of dirt and stone.
- Dig through the wall with a Pickaxe, or blow it open with explosives.
- Open the silver chest in the small room behind it.
Wooden chest behind the secret wall
- Go underground and pass through the door.
- Turn left right after the door.
- Find the secret wall there to reach the wooden chest.

- Go round to the back of the vault, where a wooden bridge stands.
- Find the gravestone with a sword sticking out of the ground on the vault side of the bridge.
- Dig in front of the gravestone.
- Open the gold chest that comes up.

- Go to the building in front of the vault.
- Use the Grappling Hook to reach the top of the pillar.
- Open the wooden chest up there.
Other Markers
The Flame Sanctum nearby gives a Spark. An Hourglass Capsule at the vault adds time to the Shroud timer when it is used.
