The hat raises the chance and damage of magical critical hits. The gloves add staff damage and damage against magical enemies. The chest, trousers and boots add mana and faster mana regeneration. Wand users get more from the Warlock Set.

How to Get Archmage Set Guide

The Alchemist crafts every piece. The recipes unlock when the Flame reaches level 5 at a Flame Altar. The main materials are Lapislazuli, Green Fabric, Iron Bars and Fossilized Bone, plus Fell drops such as a Fell Heart.

Levelling and Upgrades

Every piece starts at item level 20. Each upgrade at the Alchemist costs Runes and adds one item level, more armour and one enhancement, such as extra mana or a level of the Wizard skill. A crafted piece is rare and takes three upgrades, up to level 23. A legendary copy from loot takes five, up to level 25, and its last steps also cost Legendary Runes. The same role continues with the Thaumaturge Set at level 30.

Lore

The Archmage outfit belongs to the most gifted mages of the old kingdom. Fine metal spines on the hat reach toward the stars, and the hat only graces the brightest minds in Embervale. The robe was dyed with deep cobalt pigment made from imported nightblooms. Cobalt stitching holds the trousers together, and the colour stands for sophistication and a superior mind. The gloves were worn by the most renowned mages of the kingdom. The boots came from the best cobblers and cost as much as any boots could.
