The Fur Armor Set is the very first armour the Blacksmith makes, and it suits any class at the start of the game. It gives basic physical and magical protection from simple materials. He crafts it as soon as he joins the base. It bridges the gap until the first class sets unlock.

Pieces

The pieces give plain physical and magical armour. The chest and trousers carry most of the protection, and the hood, gloves and boots add a little more. That armour helps a new character survive the first fights. Each piece works on its own, so it mixes freely with the first class pieces.

How to Get Fur Armor Set Guide

Oswald Anders, the Blacksmith, crafts every piece. The recipes unlock when he is rescued during the quest Find The Sleeping Survivor. The materials are early finds: Torn Cloth, Animal Fur, String and Metal Scraps.

Levelling and Upgrades

Every piece starts at item level 4. The pieces are common, so each one takes a single upgrade at the Blacksmith. That upgrade raises it to level 5 and adds one enhancement, such as extra cutting or piercing resistance. The upgrade costs Runes. Class sets such as the Rising Fighter Set take over from level 5.

Lore

The pieces are honest about their limits. The hood offers only light protection, but it beats going bare-headed. Metal Scraps reinforce the chest for better protection. The trousers are a little old-fashioned, but better than cloth.
