Woodgard

Woodgard
Type Settlement
Region Springlands
Sub-region -

Woodgard is a ruined village in the west of the Springlands, built around a church. During the war, the nurse Helên set up a camp here to treat refugees. A caravan from the Kindlewastes arrived, and its dead were laid to rest in the crypt below the church. Today the Hollow walk the village, and the lower streets lie in the Shroud. The crypt still holds the Noble Set, and the bell tower hides a roof block for the lore quest A Destroyed Roof.

Where to Find Woodgard - Map Location

Woodgard lies in the west of the Springlands. Harvest Homestead is just to the north-east, and stairs lead down from the farm into the village. Peaceful Acres is to the south and the Scavenger Stash to the west. The Elixir Well east of Woodgard sits a short way to the east.

Quests

A Destroyed Roof starts with "The Church Was Destroyed!". A villager needed the blocks in a chest by the church to patch the storm-torn roof. The quest asks players to find that chest. It sits high in the church's bell tower. Use the Grappling Hook to get onto the roof, then climb the tower.

Unique Loot

The Noble Set is a cosmetic outfit of diadem, dress, gloves, pants and boots. It lies in a stone tomb in the crypt below the church. Interact with the stone tomb at the north end of the room to unlock the prison cells. The tomb with the set waits in the western cells. The chest in the bell tower holds the Stone Shingle Roof Block. The village gardens also give tomatoes, beehives and Flower Soil.

Chests

Silver chests sit at the top of the church's south tower, up two ladders, and in a building below the stairs from Harvest Homestead. A wooden chest waits behind the altar in the ruined church. Others sit in the farmhouse bedroom, in the cellar of the southernmost building and behind some pillars in a wall niche. In the Shroud below the village, chests hide in a basement by the bunk beds and upstairs in a ruined building. One more sits in a wall recess of the north-western ruins, near an explosive barrel.

Lore Pages

Helên's set To Mend Old Wounds continues here. In "A Refuge", she treats a caravan of refugees from Orindell and saves a wounded man named Salim. In "A New Season", on the church altar, the newcomers build a Flame Sanctum and Salim calls her his daffodil. "One Foot In The Grave" lies in the crypt. A caretaker worries about burying strangers beside old relics while the church roof falls apart. In "My Final Journey", the sick Vettel leaves to seek a cure at an Ancient obelisk.
