The Ancient Coin is a relic of a lost age found in Mörkhalla, its surface still marked with mysterious symbols. It goes into no recipe, and a trader buys it for 10 coins. What sets it apart from the gems is the stack size. Ancient Coins stack to 999 like ordinary coins, so a full stack is worth 9,990 coins at only 0.2 weight each. That is more money per inventory slot than anything else in the game.
How to Get It
Most of them come from Mörkhalla. Its rubble piles break for one to five Ancient Coins plus some Grausten, and its ancient chests hold more.
The Captive Fulings held in Mörkhalla drop one Ancient Coin each, two at one star and four at two stars. They drop ordinary coins too. A Fuling without stars drops 20 to 39 one time in four, a one star Fuling drops 40 to 78 one time in two, and a two star Fuling drops 80 to 100, so a starred Fuling is a small treasure chest on legs.
Notes
- At 10 coins, an Ancient Coin is worth ten ordinary coins but weighs only twice as much, so selling a bag of them at a trader saves weight as well as space.
- Haldor, Hildir and the Bog Witch all buy valuables.
