Dvergr Guard Towers are black marble towers found all over the Mistlands. The intact ones are manned by Dvergr Rogues and Dvergr Mages, and each holds one Dvergr Component Crate that breaks for a Dvergr Extractor. The ruined ones have been taken over by Seekers.

Where to Find It

Towers spawn on solid Mistlands ground with at most 10 m of height difference across the site, and they keep at least 128 m from other dvergr buildings. There are six designs, and a world has room for up to 350 towers in total. The three intact designs spawn up to 75, 75 and 50 times, and the three ruined ones up to 80, 20 and 50 times. The taller designs need more altitude, from 2 m for the first to 11 or 12 m for the third. Wooden stakes ring most towers and blue jute hangs from the outer walls. Every piece of a tower starts out damaged by a random amount. A Dvergr Lighthouse looks similar, but it carries a large blue mist light on its upper floor and its stairs are black marble.

What's Inside

Intact towers have a dvergr door and blue mist lights outside. Inside, Dvergr Lanterns hang on the walls or stand on furniture, and you can pick them up. The first design is two full storeys high, with a wooden dvergr spiral staircase from the ground floor to the roof and Blue Jute Curtains and Blue Jute Drapes on both storeys. The second has one storey and a spiral staircase to the roof. The third has one storey and a Wood Stair running down the walls to a basement with an earth floor. The component crate sits on the upper floor of the first design, on the roof of the second and in the basement of the third, beside two stacks of ordinary Dvergr Crates. The third design also keeps up to two Dvergr Barrels in its basement. A Dvergr Tankard may stand on a table. The three ruined designs mirror the intact ones. The first has lost much of its walls and its staircase is broken. The second has been hollowed out, and a large Yggdrasil Shoot grows through a hole where the staircase stood. The third has lost its roof and part of its floor, and its basement holds small Yggdrasil Shoots and Seekers. Each ruined tower holds one Dvergr Treasure Chest.

Notes

  • Intact towers hold 6 to 10 Dvergr Crates in two groups, while the third design holds 6 to 8.
  • Hitting the component crate, or anything else under a dvergr ward, turns the dvergr hostile. Damage from anything else, such as a cart you ram into it, keeps them calm.
