A flight rather than a rung, the Wood Stair is the stepped ramp of the Stairs & Ladders tab, cut from two Wood. It is the comfortable way between storeys. You can run up it at speed, carry a loaded inventory without slowing, and back up it while fighting instead of turning your back on whatever followed you in.
How to Build It
Each flight costs two Wood, placed within range of a Workbench. Stairs need something solid to land on at both ends and a clear diagonal run between, so cut the stairwell into the plan before the walls go up. Where that space does not exist, use a ladder instead. Like all bare timber it softens in the weather, so bring the flight in under the roofline if the layout allows it.
