You stitch the Fenris Hood at the workbench from hair torn off the fenrings of the Mountain frost caves. The recipe stays locked until a cultist from those same caves has dropped its trophy. It has 10 armour, or 16 fully upgraded, and ranks 10th among helmets. Worn with the rest of the Fenris Set, it is part of a 30 armour rating, which turns a 100-damage hit into 70.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 2 workbench from:
- 20x Fenris Hair: Found in the frost caves of the Mountain.
- 2x Wolf Pelt: Wolves in the Mountain drop it.
- 1x Cultist Trophy: The cultist drops it.
| Name | Image | Biome | Crafting Station | Spawn ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fenris Hair | Mountain | - | spawn WolfHairBundle
| |
| Wolf Pelt | Mountain | - | spawn WolfPelt

| Cultist trophy | Mountain | - | spawn TrophyCultist
|
When to Use It
This is mid game gear. You can make it once you reach the Mountain, the biome that follows Bonemass, where Fenris Hair and the Cultist Trophy come from the frost caves and Wolf Pelt from the wolves.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. The base stats are for quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy is somewhere on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Armor | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Workbench (Level 2) | 10 | 1000 |

| 2 | Workbench (Level 3) | 12 | 1200 |

| 3 | Workbench (Level 4) | 14 | 1400 |
|
| 4 | Workbench (Level 5) | 16 | 1600 |

Notes
- Armor lowers physical, fire, frost and lightning damage, but poison and spirit damage go straight through it.
- While your armor is less than half of a hit's damage, it is simply subtracted from the hit. Once it reaches half the damage or more, the damage taken becomes the damage squared divided by four times your armor, so doubling your armor halves the damage you take.
- Your armor rating is the total of the helmet, chest, leg and cape pieces you wear.
