A Fuling Totem is never an ingredient at a Forge or Workbench. You collect it rather than craft it, taking it from the bonfires of a Fuling Village in the Plains, and you spend it at an altar.
Production
Offering five of them at the mystical altar in the Plains summons Yagluth.
How to Get It
Look for totems propped beside the bonfires in villages and standing in some Fuling Outposts. Take the totem itself rather than flattening the pedestal, because destroying the pedestal first destroys the totem with it. Fuling Berserkers also drop one now and then, and since they patrol the open Plains as well as the camps, a totem can come out of a fight you did not plan. You need five to summon Yagluth at a Forsaken Altar, and unlike ores they can go through portals, so you can collect them over several separate trips.
Notes
- Pick up the totem before breaking the pedestal it rests on, because if the pedestal is destroyed first, the totem does not drop.
- The totem looks a little like Yagluth, especially the crown, and several runestones suggest that the Fulings worship him as some kind of king or god.
- Totems are fairly uncommon, and a Plains point of interest does not always have one.
