Every Fuling Village keeps one, and the noise it makes coming out tells you exactly which hut it was guarding. The Fuling Berserker is a hulking, club-swinging brute with eight hundred health at its weakest and the hardest single melee hit in the Plains. It exists to punish anyone who thought they could clear a camp by charging straight in. It is neither fast nor clever, and that is the only reason you can survive it at all.
Behaviour
A Berserker is the slowest thing in a Fuling camp, and the one you cannot afford to ignore. It walks rather than runs, closing in with a heavy, deliberate stride, then settles into a short rhythm. About every two seconds it swings its club at anything within three metres, sweeping a seventy degree arc four metres wide. Every twenty seconds or so, if you are within six metres, it winds up its rage attack instead and slams the club into the ground three times in a row, each slam reaching four metres from the impact. That sequence is the killer: the first hit staggers you, and the second and third land before you have recovered. All of its damage is blunt, with chop and pickaxe values high enough to flatten any wooden structure you retreat into, so a palisade buys you seconds rather than safety. It does not flee or call for help, mostly because everything it could call is already awake and running at you by the time it arrives.
Where to Find It
Berserkers live in structures rather than wandering. They stand at uncommon fixed spawn points inside Fuling Villages, and up to three of them can guard a Stonehenge, one of the rings of standing stones scattered across the Plains. These are one-time spawns, so a village you have properly cleared stays cleared. The other place you meet one is at your own gate. The raid event "The horde is attacking!" sends them very commonly and can roll them up to two stars, and the "They were bros, man." event gives every Berserker it brings at least one star. Star levels matter more here than on almost anything else in the game. A two star Berserker has twenty four hundred health and hits for double, which is boss-level toughness on a standard enemy that can show up during a raid on your farm.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Do not stand in front of it. The club arc is broad, but it is still an arc, and the Berserker turns slowly enough that circling behind it during the swing is the whole fight: hit the flank, step out, repeat. Its stagger threshold is low for its size, so parrying with a Black Metal or Padded shield interrupts the swing outright and gives you a free two-handed hit. Do not parry the rage sequence, though. Walk out of it, because three slams in a row will drain your stamina and then break your guard. Ordinary weapons all land in full, so use whatever hits hardest, and an atgeir's sweep is excellent for keeping the rest of the camp off your back while you work. Poison or Fire Arrows wear one down safely if you have room to kite, since it cannot hit back at range. Terrain does most of the work for you: a rock it cannot climb or a ditch it will not cross turns a deadly encounter into target practice. It stops being frightening once you have full Black Metal armour, a shield you trust yourself to parry with, and enough stamina food to sprint clear of the rage radius.
- It is immune to Spirit damage.
Drops
A Berserker drops the fattest purse in the Plains, and about one in ten carries a Fuling Totem, the item that summons Yagluth.
| Item | Image | Base | 1 Star | 2 Star |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Black metal scrap | 3-4 | 6-8 | 12-16 | |
| Coins | 5-19 | 10-38 | 20-76 | |
| Fuling totem | 10% | 10% | 10% | |
| Fuling berserker trophy | 5% | 5% | 5% |
Level Variants
A creature can spawn at one of three levels, shown as stars next to its name. Each level is rolled separately when it spawns, so a two-star is rarer than a one-star. The difference goes beyond the numbers: a starred Fuling Berserker is recoloured or larger, so you can see it coming.
| Level | Stars | Image | Health | Damage | Drops |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | - | 800 | 100% | x1 | |
| 2 | ⭐ | 1600 | 150% | x2 | |
| 3 | ⭐⭐ | 2400 | 200% | x4 |
Notes
- Fuling Berserkers mostly share the skin tones of normal Fulings. Ordinary Berserkers have green skin, one-stars have lighter yellow-green skin, and two-stars have reddish-tan skin.
- Fuling Berserkers always carry the same weapon, but their looks vary at every level, much like normal Fulings. Some wear a headpiece that covers their eyes, and others have four large bones strapped to their back.
