However much Silver you have, you cannot make a Scythe until The Bog Witch sells you a Scythe Handle, and she only stocks one once Moder is dead. You buy it from The Bog Witch in the Swamp.
How to Get It
The Bog Witch lives in a potion-hung hut in the Swamp, and a Cauldron icon marks it on the map once you get close. A world has several possible sites for her, all far out from the centre, and the first one you walk up to becomes hers for good. The handle costs 200 Coins and only shows up after Moder has been beaten. She is the only way to get it, so finding her is the whole job.
