Eating a Toadstool is supposed to hurt. For fifteen seconds your health and stamina stop regenerating and you move at half speed, and that is exactly what you are paying The Bog Witch for at her hut out in the Swamp.
How to Get It
The Bog Witch sells it for 85 coins, but only once Moder has been beaten. Her hut shows on the map as a Cauldron icon somewhere between three and eight thousand metres from the centre of the world, so finding her is a voyage in itself. Coins come from Burial Chambers in the Black Forest and Sunken Crypts in the Swamp. Most people buy Toadstool not to eat for its own sake but to burn off a food slot on purpose, the way Bukeberries are used, or to make a mead base.
