Legendary Manticore Gauntlets are the NG+ Legendary variant of the Manticore Gauntlets, medium witcher armor from Blood and Wine. They give 89 armor at level 41, with +5 maximum toxicity and +6% crit chance. On a New Game Plus run they need level 40 plus the starting level, and the diagram is in Toussaint.

They also give +7% piercing, +7% slashing and +20% elemental resistance. The regular gauntlets give 87 armor, +5% crit chance and +12% elemental resistance. The toxicity and crit chance suit an alchemy and bombs build, which the Manticore set bonuses reward.

Set Bonus

The Manticore set is medium armor from Blood and Wine. It has one tier, Grandmaster at level 40, plus an NG+ Legendary variant. 3 pieces: crit chance and crit damage also apply to bombs, and bombs are thrown with no delay. 6 pieces: each alchemy item gets 1 extra charge.

How to Get Legendary Manticore Gauntlets

  • In NG+, play Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear in Toussaint.
  • Dive to the bottom of the Lake of Cleansing to find the diagram.
  • A grandmaster armorer crafts them. The quest Master Master Master Master! in Beauclair unlocks this craftsman.

Legendary Manticore Gauntlets Map Location and Quest Guide

The Legendary Manticore Gauntlets diagram rests in a container at the bottom of the Lake of Cleansing, northeast of Basane Farm in Toussaint. The pin marks the spot in the lake, the last stop of Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear. In New Game +, this legendary diagram replaces the standard one at the same spot.

  1. Speak to Lafargue, the grandmaster smith in Beauclair, and ask about the Manticore gear to start Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Manticore Gear.
  2. Go to the Bastoy Prison Ruins and climb the standing tower. Loot the loose brick in the top room for the steel sword diagram and read the prisoner's journal.
  3. Go to Lebioda's cave southeast of Gélenser Farm, kill the panther, and read Merten's prayer on the far wall of the large cavern.
  4. Go to Lebioda's temple and use Aard on the far wall to open a hidden room. Defeat the Great Beggar's Ghost inside.
  5. Loot the container on the table for the trousers and boots diagrams and read The Great Beggar's journal.
  6. Go to Murky Delve, south of the Palace Gardens. In the purple mist, walk past the two women and go left, deeper into the cave.
  7. Give each beggar 10 crowns as alms to clear the way.
  8. Kill the three kikimore workers, then open the blocked path with Aard.
  9. Loot the container by the vision of Lebioda for the silver sword diagram and read Merten's notes.
  10. Go to the Lake of Cleansing northeast of Basane Farm and deal with the bandits. Use Witcher Senses to spot the red marker in the lake and retrieve the Legendary Manticore Gauntlets diagram.
