Succubus

Succubus

Species	Hybrids
DLC	Base game
Oil	Hybrid Oil
Signs	Quen
Location	Skellige

The Succubus is a Hybrid that lives close to people, in villages and in big cities alike. It looks like a beautiful woman with goat legs and thick horns. Unlike most monsters, it rarely means any harm.

Lore

Succubi and their kin, the menads, feel no wish to kill. They do not crave human blood. They are driven by one thing only: a lust that can never be satisfied. They try to ease it with any humanoid they meet. Their "victims" rarely put up much of a fight. Even so, succubi can be dangerous. Their endless advances are pleasant at first, but they have driven more than one man to madness or even death.

Behaviour

Succubi prowl at night. When the need is strong, they leave their lairs by day as well. They shower their attention on men and women alike, young and old, ugly and beautiful. Some are especially fond of priests and other holy men. Seducing them is a kind of game for a succubus.

Weaknesses

Coat the silver sword with Hybrid Oil. Quen is the Sign to keep up.

Succubi are peaceful by nature, but they fight fiercely when forced to. Do not be fooled by their fair looks. Under the soft skin of their arms lie muscles of iron. A kick from their goat legs or a blow from their thick horns can easily break bones.

A succubus can also cast spells. Exploding bolts from the crossbow or the Aard Sign can break its spellcasting. A Northern Wind bomb can freeze it in place.
