Brigitte, known as Maman Brigitte, is an alarmingly skilled netrunner and the leader of the Voodoo Boys, the gang that rules over the Haitian community of Pacifica. She hired Evelyn Parker to steal the Relic, so she may know how to remove it safely from V's head. But she has plans of her own for the biochip. She takes the riskiest jobs herself and is always ready to risk her life for her people.
Biography
The Voodoo Boys
When disasters ruined Haiti, Brigitte came with many other Haitians to Pacifica, a run-down district of Night City. Like most Voodoo Boys, she is devoted to the net and to the secrets of the old net beyond the Blackwall. She often probes the wall in the hope of reaching the rogue AIs on the other side and finding a safe way through it.
The Relic
Brigitte believes Alt Cunningham, who lives beyond the Blackwall, could open the way, and that Johnny Silverhand's mind is the bait that would draw her out. When she learns that the Relic is in Yorinobu Arasaka's hands, she hires Evelyn to find it. After the heist fails, the Voodoo Boys attack Evelyn through the net to keep her quiet.
A NetWatch agent traps Brigitte and her netrunner Ti Neptune in the net, frozen by black ICE. When V helps the Voodoo Boys deal with the agent, she is set free. She learns that the chip she wanted is in V's head and takes V to a hidden church, where she sends V across the Blackwall to call Alt.

Placide is her second in command. Ti Neptune is one of her netrunners. Evelyn Parker worked for her and betrayed her. Alt Cunningham is the being she wants to reach. NetWatch is her enemy.

Endings
The outcome of Transmission decides her fate. If Alt destroys the Voodoo Boys' connection to keep NetWatch from tracking her, Brigitte dies with her netrunners. If she survives, she meets V again after the dive. V can walk away, and she lets V go, or V can turn on the gang, and she is killed in the fight.
Notes
The Voodoo Boys' hidden church in Pacifica is where Brigitte sends V across the Blackwall.
