Cuckoo's Nest is an SOS: Merc Needed gig from El Capitan in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. The next day, she was taken away to a psychiatric ward on Sequoia Street, the kind of place that hands out lobotomies and electric shocks. Her husband will pay anything to get her out.

Story

Getting into Bed with Enemies

El Capitan is no fan of the police in the journal. They stick their noses into other people's business, give ordinary people a hard time and do the corps' bidding. But sometimes it pays to get into bed with an enemy, as at least they owe a favour later.

Jasmine Dixon has patrolled the city's streets for many years and reached the rank of sergeant. One day at the precinct, she heard something she should not have. Instead of keeping quiet, she took it to her supervisor. The next day, she was wheeled off to a psych ward. Her husband will do anything to help her, and to El Capitan, "anything" is as good as payment gets.

The Ward

Patients wander the halls of the hospital. Johnny recognises one of them in a room on the ground floor: they were in the same unit together, and he remembers the horrors they went through. Jasmine is locked in a cell in the restricted area upstairs, and a guard holds the keys.

Getting In

  1. Go to the psychiatric ward on Sequoia Street in Rancho Coronado.
  2. Climb the scaffolding left of the main entrance, jump to the upper roof, and force the door with 15 Body.
  3. Or enter through the front door, switch off the reception cameras, and take the door on the right.
  4. From the front, go through the break room and out its door, and wait for the doctor helping a patient to pass.

Jasmine

  1. Head into the restricted area and up the stairs on the left.
  2. Take out the guard at the stairs and take his keys.
  3. Find Jasmine Dixon's cell on the left and open it.
  4. Talk to Jasmine Dixon.

Getting Out

  1. Escort Jasmine up the stairs to the roof, then down from its edge to the lower level and the ground.
  2. Escort her across the road to the fixer's transport.
  3. Talk to Jasmine and wait for her to get in.
