The Kaukaz Zeya U420 is the small working truck of Night City, with a short bed and a modest engine. It hauls trash containers and other light loads around the city, and the NCPD cleaning crews use it for toxic and radioactive waste. It is slow, plain and everywhere. Drivers take one when nothing better is parked nearby. The Zeya U420 works the streets of every district.
Performance
Power goes to the rear wheels through a small engine, so a loaded Zeya struggles on a slope and takes its time everywhere else. The short bed keeps it manageable in traffic despite the height.
It stops slowly and leans in a corner. What it offers is that it keeps going, and that there is always another one parked somewhere.
How to Get Kaukaz Zeya U420 Guide
- Take one from any street where the cleaning crews work.
Lore
Kaukaz writes its own advertising with a straight face. The Database claims the Zeya was named Car of the Year five times in a row by Stakhanovite magazine, with a hundred and one per cent of the popular vote.
The joke carries the model's whole character. It is a Soviet workhorse that nobody chooses and everybody uses.
