The Militech Mobile Missile System is a remotely operated weapons truck rather than a vehicle anyone rides in. Six driven wheels carry a fully enclosed body with four rocket pods on turrets that turn the whole way around, and rows of grenade launchers along each side of the cab. Militech sent them after the Aldecaldos' Basilisk. Wrecked ones still sit in Dogtown. The Mobile Missile System appears as a Militech weapon in the field, and as wreckage in Dogtown.
Performance
Six wheels drive, which a vehicle of this weight needs to move at all. The body is fully enclosed, because nobody sits in it.
Two pairs of launcher pods ride on independent turrets that rotate the whole way around. Each pod holds twelve missiles, so a full load is forty-eight. Four grenade launchers sit in a row on each side of the cab for anything that gets close.
Lore
Militech fields the truck where a target is too big or too fast for soldiers. The clearest case is the attempt to destroy the Aldecaldos' Basilisk, a tank the clan was never meant to have.
The wrecks in Dogtown say the trucks were used during the Unification War. The same chassis carried other equipment as well, and one of the wrecks there was built to carry two cranes instead of missiles.
