Nocturne Op55N1 is the main job in which V meets Hanako Arasaka at Embers in the Glen and then makes the choice that decides the ending of Cyberpunk 2077. It begins the third act, after Tapeworm. Meeting Hanako is the point of no return: once V enters Embers, the rest of the open world is closed until the ending is played.

Story

Embers

The journal is short and grim. V and Johnny both knew this moment would come. Unless they think of something fast, V will die, and Johnny will go too. It is time for the final meeting.

With every other option used up, V meets Hanako at Embers, a restaurant on the 13th floor of a tower in the Glen. Security clears V, and a lift takes V up. Hanako is playing Chopin's Nocturne Op. 55 No. 1 on a grand piano, the piece the job is named after. She stops when V approaches and tells V that she knows where Mikoshi is, beneath Arasaka Tower.

At the bar, Johnny cuts in. Hanako says her brother must answer for their father's murder, and that the corporation must learn the truth. She offers a trade. V will face Yorinobu at a meeting of the board and testify to what really happened, and in return she will rid V of Johnny's construct.

The Lift

On the way down, Johnny stops the lift. He suggests another way: if V lets him take control of the body, he can reach Mikoshi without Hanako, by teaming up with Rogue and blasting into Arasaka Tower as they did decades ago. Then the Relic fails, and V blacks out.

Viktor and Misty

V wakes up in Viktor's clinic. Johnny dragged V back from Embers. Viktor says that one more failure of the Relic will probably kill V. V takes the last of the pills and a pistol from the table. On the way out, Misty suggests a better place to decide what to do: the place where Jackie went when he had an important decision to make.

She leads V up the lift behind her shop and onto the roof. Sitting beside V, she talks about Jackie for a while, then leaves V alone with Johnny to decide.

The Choice

On the roof, V can call a romantic partner, and then decides who to ask for help with the raid on Arasaka Tower, or whether to raid it at all. Each choice leads to its own final job and ending. Back downstairs, Misty may offer a tarot reading before V's ride arrives.

Before Embers

Finish any side jobs, shopping or ripperdoc visits first. Entering Embers locks the open world until the ending.
Make a manual save before the meeting.

Embers

Meet Hanako at Embers. Clear security and take the lift.
Approach the piano and talk to Hanako.
Sit with Hanako at the bar and hear her offer.
Pick up the shard ATTENTION: VIP GUEST!!! from the corner of the bar if desired.
Leave the restaurant and talk to Johnny in the lift.

Viktor's Clinic

Talk to Viktor after waking up.
Talk to Johnny.
Take the pills and the pistol from the table.
Leave the clinic and talk to Misty.

The Roof

Follow Misty and take the lift up, then climb the stairs to the roof.
Sit by Misty and talk to her.
Talk to Johnny.
Call a romantic partner if desired: Judy, Panam, River or Kerry.
Decide what comes next.
Go back down, talk to Misty and follow her into the shop.

Choices

Who to Ask for Help

Hanako: the default choice. V accepts her offer and goes to the Arasaka estate. This leads to Last Caress.

Rogue and Johnny: needs Chippin' In and Blistering Love. V lets Johnny take over and raid the tower with Rogue. This leads to For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Panam and the Aldecaldos: needs Panam's side jobs Riders on the Storm, With a Little Help from My Friends and Queen of the Highway. V raids the tower with the nomads. This leads to We Gotta Live Together.

Solomon Reed: with Phantom Liberty, V can call Reed, who sends a flying car to pick V up. This path leads to Who Wants to Live Forever.

Putting it all to rest: when Johnny asks if V is sure, V can say they could just put all this to rest, then toss the pills. V and Johnny have one last talk before V takes V's own life.

The Secret Ending

If V says nothing for about five minutes when choosing who to ask for help, Johnny offers to storm the tower with V alone. This is the secret ending, (Don't Fear) The Reaper. It is a single attempt with no manual saves.

Calling a Partner

A romantic partner who is called from the roof appears in the epilogue. Without a call, V faces the ending alone.

Tips

Sitting down next to Misty on the roof is the last chance to save before the ending is chosen. Hanako does not mind waiting, so there is no rush to meet her. More endings are open if certain side jobs have been finished first.
