Take Control lets V operate a machine remotely. Every cyberdeck carries it from the start for cameras and turrets. With the Carhacker perk, it also lets V drive a car from a distance as if sitting behind the wheel. It turns cameras, turrets and cars into tools for V. It suits any build that carries a cyberdeck. Take Control is an early game quickhack that comes installed on every cyberdeck, and the Carhacker perk extends it to vehicles.

Take Control enables remote operation of a device. It works on cameras and turrets, and at times on other devices.

With Carhacker, Take Control also works on cars. V takes over the driver's controls and steers the vehicle within a limited range. A car can then be moved or driven away from danger.

The upload takes a second and a half. The RAM cost is low.

How to Get Take Control Guide

• Install any cyberdeck to use Take Control on cameras and turrets.
• Put points into Intelligence and unlock Carhacker to use it on vehicles.
• Scan a device or a vehicle and choose Take Control.

Upgrades

Take Control comes installed on every cyberdeck. Carhacker adds vehicles to its targets. Its vehicle availability follows the tier of the installed cyberdeck.

Character Builds

Take Control works with any cyberdeck. Eye In The Sky highlights nearby cameras and Access Points. It also makes Control and Covert quickhacks cheaper and longer lasting when V uploads them through a camera. Queue Acceleration lowers the RAM cost of quickhacks used on devices and vehicles.

The vehicle use needs the Carhacker perk, which sits in the first tier of the Intelligence tree. The vehicle quickhacks Carhacker unlocks depend on the tier of V's installed cyberdeck. Emergency Brake, Floor It and Self-destruct are the other vehicle quickhacks.
