The Lord Giveth and Taketh Away is a Search and Recover gig from Padre in Wellsprings, Heywood. A group of nomads bought a stolen Militech SUV from the Valentinos on Padre's turf, without bringing in a fixer. The Valentinos took the money, beat them up and kept the car. Now the nomads' representative, Dakota Smith, has called Padre to do it properly, and the SUV sits in a Valentinos garage.

Story

The Right Way

Padre explains in the journal. A group of nomads decided to run some side business in Night City, and bought a stolen Militech SUV from the Valentinos. It happened on Padre's turf, but they "forgot" to ask for his help, as they did not want to cut in a fixer. The Valentinos took the eddies, slammed their heads into the pavement and told them to get lost.

Now the nomads only want what they paid for, the right way this time, through a fixer. Their representative, Dakota, called Padre, and he promised to help. The SUV ended up in a Valentinos garage in Wellsprings, and V has to bring it back. Getting even with the Valentinos is not part of the job. Padre will handle that himself.

The Garage

Valentinos patrol the grounds of the auto shop, and more wait inside. Three stand at the front of the garage, and two in the middle of the floor, near the SUV on the right.

The Garage

  1. Go to the Valentinos' auto shop in Wellsprings.
  2. Climb the fence around the grounds, or force the shutter on the left side of the garage with 14 Body.
  3. Or deal with the three Valentinos at the front and go through the open door.
  4. Take out the two Valentinos in the middle of the garage.

The SUV

  1. Find the SUV on the right and get in. The garage doors open on their own.
  2. Escape with the SUV.
  3. Drive it to the nomads and park it in their garage.
  4. Get out, talk to the nomad waiting outside, and leave the area.
