The Ambush Shard is a Night sorcery in Elden Ring. It is an early find in the Weeping Peninsula.
Ambush Shard is one of the night sorceries of Sellia, whose sorcerers were assassins said to hunt their own kind. The projectile appears away from the caster and strikes the target from behind, and like other night sorceries it goes unseen, so enemies never try to dodge it. That makes it a dependable answer to shield users and other foes that like to block, since the hit always lands on an unguarded back. The Arrow's Reach Talisman extends its range, but the Staff of Loss does not boost it even though it is a night sorcery. It suits stealthy intelligence builds that want guaranteed damage from range.
Effect
Launches a magic projectile from a point away from the caster so it strikes the target from behind; enemies do not try to dodge it. Each cast costs 13 FP and 15 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
