The Greatblade Phalanx is a Carian sorcery in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Greatblade Phalanx is a sorcery of the Carian royal family used by the enchanted troll knights, comrades of the young Rennala bound to her by oath. It raises three large glintblades above the caster that wait until an enemy comes close and then fire, each blade dealing heavy magic damage and strong stance damage. The blades track invisible enemies such as Black Knife Assassins and invisible Teardrop Scarabs, but they break against any surface, so the spell cannot be prepared ahead of a boss fog gate. Casting any other phalanx effect replaces it, so only one can be active at a time. It suits casters who want a stance-breaking guard that punishes enemies for closing in.
Effect
Creates an arch of three large magic glintblades over the caster that fire at foes who come close. Each cast costs 30 FP and 20 stamina and takes up one memory slot.
