The Staff of Loss is a Glintstone Staff in Elden Ring. It is picked up mid-game, in Caelid.

The Staff of Loss is missing its glintstone, wielded by sorcerers who believe discovery comes through asceticism, and it distinguishes itself only when casting invisibility sorceries. It lies on a corpse on a balcony in western Sellia, Town of Sorcery, reached across the rooftops. It boosts night sorceries such as Night Shard and Night Comet, which enemies do not dodge, and the boost applies while it is held even if another staff casts the spell. At about 80 Intelligence it out-damages every other staff as long as only night sorceries are used. It suits a stealthy Intelligence character who ambushes with unseen spells.

Stats

The Staff of Loss is the cheapest big multiplier among staves, boosting invisible sorceries such as Night Shard and Night Comet by 30% at only 2.5 weight, and the boost works from the off-hand. Its own scaling is weak at 111 base, which is exactly why it sits beside a stronger main staff instead of casting the spells itself.
