The Ash of War: Carian Sovereignty is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Magic affinity and the Carian Sovereignty skill. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Carian Sovereignty is passed down the Carian royal family: the wielder transforms the blade into a magical greatsword and brings it down, and an additional input follows up with a wide horizontal sweep. Either attack can be charged, and a fully charged slam sends a magic shockwave along the ground. Its magic damage scales with Intelligence and the weapon's upgrade level rather than the weapon's own attack power, and the casts carry heavy hyper armor. It suits Intelligence builds that want one of the strongest burst skills in the game.

It grants the Magic affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Heavy, Keen, Quality or Cold. The skill costs 30 FP and can be charged. - Ash of War: Carian Sovereignty drops from a Teardrop Scarab clinging to the ceiling of a cave southwest of the Cathedral of Manus Metyr in Scadu Altus.
- The cave sits in the eastern cliff wall at the southern end of the plateau west of the road to the cathedral.

Skill
Charge the opening slam on staggered or slow bosses, then follow with the charged sweep for very high stance damage. The full combo is expensive in FP, so Mind and FP regeneration help. Magic affinity gives the most damage, with Cold a little behind.
