The Lordsworn's Straight Sword is a Straight Sword in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Early game. It is found around Limgrave, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.
Why Players Pick It
115 physical at +0 with a 110 critical, reaching 281 at max standard, on a 10 Str / 10 Dex requirement. Common soldiers of every faction drop it at 2%, so it is realistically available from the first hour.
Upgrades
Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 10 and Dex 10 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.
Critical Damage
Critical 110. A backstab, or a riposte after a guard break, is multiplied by this, where 100 is the baseline most weapons carry.
- The highest critical of its class.
- It pays for getting behind an enemy or breaking their stance rather than trading hits in the open.
Notes
Well-crafted straight sword with an illustrious design, wielded by regulars of a lord's army. Though blackened and damaged by years of use, it appears to have otherwise been kept in a serviceable condition, despite the soldiers having long since lost their minds.
How to Get Lordsworn's Straight Sword Guide
- Soldier enemies of every faction that wield this weapon have 2% drop rate for it.
- This includes Godrick Soldiers, Raya Lucaria Soldiers, Radahn Soldiers, Leyndell Soldiers, Mausoleum Soldiers, and Haligtree Soldiers.
- Can be farmed from the very beginning of the game, at Gatefront Ruins, where some Godrick Soldiers wield this sword.
- A more reliable spot can be found at Fourth Church of Marika, where two sword-wielding Mausoleum Soldiers can be found just outside the entrance.
