The Ash of War: Flaming Strike is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Fire affinity and the Flaming Strike skill. It is picked up mid-game, in Redmane Castle.

Flaming Strike spreads a burst of flame from the wielder's free hand in a wide frontward arc. A strong attack input follows up with a lunging, sweeping strike that also coats the weapon in fire for 40 seconds. The fire coating adds flat fire damage to the weapon whatever its affinity. It suits Strength builds and any build that wants a cheap fire burst plus a long-lasting weapon buff.

Skill

Use the opening flame on its own as a cheap, quick fire attack, and add the follow-up when there is time to buff the weapon. The weapon buff works on any affinity, including Flame Art, which makes it a handy fire boost for Faith builds. Only the follow-up strike can be parried.

"Skill that emits flame in a wide frontward arc. Follow up with a strong attack to perform a lunging, sweeping strike. This will also coat the armament in fire."
