The Ash of War: Vacuum Slice is an Ash of War in Elden Ring that grants the Quality affinity and the Vacuum Slice skill. It arrives late in the game, in the Deeproot Depths.
Vacuum Slice is a lost skill of ancient heroes: the wielder raises the weapon to wrap it in a shearing vacuum, then slashes down to launch a blade-like projectile. The projectile has its own base damage and Strength and Dexterity scaling, so it stays strong on any sword or axe, and it pierces through enemies. It deals solid stance damage at range. It suits Strength and Dexterity builds that want a reliable ranged option on swords and axes.

It grants the Quality affinity and a Whetblade can switch it to Standard, Keen, Heavy, Fire, Flame Art, Lightning, Sacred, Magic, Cold, Poison, Blood or Occult. The skill costs 14 FP. - Found inside a partially sunken ruined building in the Deeproot Depths, near the rock wall northeast of the Deeproot Depths Site of Grace.
- Once obtained, it can be duplicated by trading Lost Ashes of War to Smithing Master Hewg at the Roundtable Hold.

Skill
Up close both the slash and the projectile connect, so the skill hits harder at melee range. The projectile passes through lines of enemies, which helps in corridors. The skill cannot be parried with enough FP, and greases or infusions do not change the projectile's damage type.
