Melina is a character in Elden Ring.
Melina is the mysterious young woman who guides the Tarnished through the main story of Elden Ring. She appears at Sites of Grace and offers an accord in place of the Finger Maiden the Tarnished never had. Through that accord she turns runes into levels and hands over the whistle that summons Torrent. Later she brings the Tarnished to the Roundtable Hold and finally to the Forge of the Giants, where the Erdtree is set alight.
Lore
Melina is a young woman in a dark robe, and one of her eyes stays closed. She is a spirit bound to grace, burned and bodiless.
She was born at the foot of the Erdtree, where her mother gave her a purpose long ago. Her words point to Queen Marika as that mother, and the lore of the Realm of Shadow names her as the younger sister of Messmer the Impaler. Like Messmer, she once bore a vision of fire.
Melina travelled with Torrent in search of a Tarnished who could carry her back to the Erdtree. Once she reached it, she recalled her purpose and chose to act on her own will. She became the kindling that burned the Erdtree so a new Lord could pass its thorns.
