Misbegotten Crusader is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring.
The Misbegotten Crusader is a holy warrior who guards the end of the Cave of the Forlorn in the Consecrated Snowfield. It fights like the Leonine Misbegotten but adds holy blasts to every combo. It wields the Golden Order Greatsword, a blade made of light. Defeating it is required to collect every legendary armament.
Lore
The Crusader is a hulking misbegotten with a long red mane and a serpent-like tail. It carries a greatsword made of golden light, shaped after the Elden Ring itself.
The misbegotten were held to be a punishment for contact with the Crucible. From birth they were treated as slaves, or worse. This one took up the light of the Golden Order and fights with its holy power.

Attacks
- Lunging combos: fast advancing slashes that close distance. A shield or steady backing up handles the combo, then a roll in at its end opens a hit.
- Establish Order: it stands tall and raises its arms, releasing a holy explosion and then a wide sweeping projectile. Running from the blast and rolling forward through the wave avoids both.
- Holy ranged attacks: golden waves fired from distance. A sideways dodge avoids them.
- Hyper armor strikes: it powers through heavy hits while attacking, so trading blows mid-combo is risky.
Tactics
- Bring a shield with good holy guard to block the combos.
- Summon a fast spirit ash such as Banished Knight Oleg or Omenkiller Rollo, because the Crusader is easy to interrupt between attacks.
- Back up during combos and roll in at the end to land a few hits.
- Run from Establish Order and roll through the follow-up wave.
- Use slash or fire damage, because the Crusader takes extra damage from both.
- Ranged users should use fast spells such as Glintstone Pebble and keep moving.
