The Golden Order Greatsword is a Greatsword in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Late game. It is found around Consecrated Snowfield, far enough in that it is an end-of-run weapon rather than something to build towards.

Upgrades

It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.

Skill

Establish Order costs 20 FP. Raise the armament in salute, releasing a golden explosion. Repeated inputs send out waves of golden light. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E, Dex at D and Fai at C, so Fai is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 16, Dex 21 and Fai 28 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

Notes

Greatsword made of light, modeled after the Elden Ring itself. Forged by the King Consort Radagon to proudly symbolize the tenets of the Golden Order. One of the legendary armaments. Telltale signs betray that this was once the greatsword bequeathed to him by his first wife, Rennala.

  • Received upon defeating the Misbegotten Crusader in Cave of the Forlorn, located in the Consecrated Snowfield.
