Tonic of Forgetfulness is a quest item in Elden Ring. It becomes available partway through a run, in Volcano Manor.

The Tonic of Forgetfulness is a small brass vial that banishes bitter memories. Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy once gave it to Tanith, Volcano Manor Proprietress, who never used it. She passes it on so that Rya can forget a painful truth. It is part of Rya's questline.

Giving the tonic to Rya makes her fall asleep instead of asking to be killed. After Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy falls, she returns to the manor without the memory of her journey. Her quest then ends with Daedicar's Woe left behind.

"Tonic in a small brass vial. Banishes distress and bitter memories. A gift bestowed by Rykard, sworn to blasphemy, to Lady Tanith, who unfortunately had no use for it. 'My Lord, there could be no greater distress than to forget you.'"

It belongs to Rya's quest. It is brought to Rya at Near the Temple of Eiglay, Volcano Manor. She falls asleep and later returns to the manor with her memories gone.

1. Give the Serpent's Amnion to Rya in Volcano Manor.
2. Defeat Rileigh the Idle as part of the manor's requests.
3. Speak with Tanith, Volcano Manor Proprietress about Rya's absence to receive the tonic.
4. Find Rya near the Temple of Eiglay and give her the tonic.
