The Omen Set is a Nomad Highlands magic armor set made for fighting inside the Shroud. Its strength is extra Shroud time and Shroud resistance, plus fire magic damage while Enshrouded. The Alchemist crafts it from the remains of monstrous Shroud creatures.

Pieces

The helmet, chest and trousers each extend the time a player can stay in the Shroud. The gloves and boots add Shroud resistance instead. The gloves also raise fire magic damage while Enshrouded, and the helmet raises magical critical chance. The chest and trousers add mana, and the boots add mana regeneration.

How to Get Omen Set Guide

The Alchemist makes every piece. Armor recipes unlock on their own each time the Flame is upgraded, one crafting tier at a time. The recipes use Shroud spoils such as Shroud Adhesive, Shroud Gelatin, Monstrous Ribs and Petrified Shroud Stalker Shell, with Critter Glands, Leather and Bronze Bars.

Levelling and Upgrades

The Alchemist upgrades mage armor for Runes. Crafted pieces are rare quality, while chests can hold common to legendary ones. The quality sets how many upgrade perks a piece can unlock. Legendary pieces unlock the most and need Legendary Runes for the later steps. The perks here add resistance to blunt, piercing and cutting damage, and extra levels in skills such as Shroud Resistance, Shroud Mitigation and Dark Arts. Upgraded gear peaks at level 55, far above the Nomad Highlands tier. Outgrown pieces salvage back into runes.

Lore

The Omen descriptions describe armour taken over by the Shroud. The helmet is a living shell that closes around the face like an iron maiden. The chest is an ordinary leather coat, but a fungal growth has overtaken its grain. The gloves are made of rotting, undead matter and claw at the upper arms as if they want to grow. The trousers are less frayed than the rest of the outfit. Unknown footprints in the mud are always a bad omen, as the boots point out.

Tips

The Omen Set is built for fighting inside the Shroud. Its extra Shroud time and Shroud resistance let a mage stay longer in Shroud areas and Shroud Lairs. The gloves raise fire magic damage while Enshrouded, and the Fell take extra damage from fire. That makes fire spells the natural choice with this set. A Shroud Survival Flask adds more time, and standing near a Return Beacon refills the timer to full.
