The Soldier Set is a Kindlewastes warrior armor set for two-handed weapons such as hammers. Its strength is two-handed damage and critical hits backed by heavy health. The Blacksmith crafts it, and pieces also turn up in chests.

Pieces

The helmet raises the chance and the damage of melee critical hits. The gloves add two-handed melee damage and extra damage against melee enemies. The chestplate adds a large block of health, and the trousers add health and regeneration. The boots speed up health regeneration and start it sooner.

How to Get Soldier Set Guide

The Blacksmith makes every piece. Armor recipes unlock on their own each time the Flame is upgraded, one crafting tier at a time. The recipes use Iron Bars, Padding, Green Fabric and Shadowbloom, with Monstrous Ribs, Scales and Mist of a Fell Sicklescythe.

Levelling and Upgrades

The Blacksmith upgrades warrior armor for Runes. Crafted pieces are rare quality, while chests can hold common to legendary ones. The quality sets how many upgrade perks a piece can unlock. Legendary pieces unlock the most and need Legendary Runes for the later steps. The perks here add resistance to blunt, piercing, cutting and Shroud damage, more health, and extra levels in skills such as Barbarian's Path, Brute and Blood Rage. Upgraded gear peaks at level 55, far above the Kindlewastes tier. The two-handed line continues with the Mountain's Shadow Set in the Albaneve Summits. Outgrown pieces salvage back into runes.

Lore

The Soldier descriptions describe the gear of a proud army. The finely crafted helmet was usually worn by the kingdom's most feared warriors and generals. The regal chestplate symbolises chivalry, glory and valour. Few enemies can withstand even an unarmed blow from the gloves. The trousers are thick and reliable, though not very breathable. Silvery scales cover the boots and keep the ankles safe and sound.

Tips

The Soldier Set is made for two-handed weapons such as hammers and greatswords. Its gloves raise two-handed damage, and the helmet adds melee critical chance and damage. Fighters with one-handed weapons get more from the Rogue Set of the same tier. Its heavy health lets a two-handed fighter stand in the fight while swinging slowly. The two-handed line continues with the Mountain's Shadow Set in the Albaneve Summits.
