The Crown Jewel is the gem Kall Fimbulbringer drops, and its description says it best: a strange power surges within it, unlike anything you have felt before. It has one use. Set it into five Bloodgold at a level 4 black forge and it becomes the Crown of Valheim. It weighs 2 and stacks to 5.
How to Get It
Kall drops one Crown Jewel when he dies, along with the sacrificial blood that ends the game. Reaching him takes the whole biome. His prison lies behind the Aesir Passage, a giant gate found at 80 metres or higher in the Deep North. Up to three spawn in each world, at least 1,024 metres apart, and a vegvisir at a memorial site or in Mörkhalla marks the nearest one. The gate opens when you offer three Malicious Blood together at the strange bowl. That blood comes from the Malicious Ice at the centre of a jotun invasion.
The boss fight that follows has three phases and 47,000 health. Kall appears twelve seconds after the offering, chained to two pillars, and breaks free as you approach.
Notes
- Each crown needs its own jewel, so every player who wants one has to kill their own Kall.
- You reach the Prison through one of up to three Aesir Passages, which are among the points of interest that world generation places first.
- Kall resists pierce, fire, frost and lightning and ignores spirit, so blunt and slash do the work in phases 1 and 3. In phase 2 he is immune, and you have to kill the aspects.
- In his third phase he summons tendrils every 45 seconds that shoot lightning from up to 40 metres. They have only 80 health and are weak to fire.
Crown Jewel Crafting Recipes
The crown it makes gives 50 armour, two more than a Helmet of the Protector at quality 3, and adds 5% to your movement speed. While you wear it, the Royalty effect stops every creature except bosses from attacking you, and they flee instead. Attacking, running, swimming and sneaking all cost a fifth less stamina. It cannot be upgraded, so your first crown is also the best one.
