Majestic Carapace is a boss drop with exactly one use: the Artisan Press, the upgrade that lifts an Artisan Table to its second level. After that no recipe in the game asks for it again. It drops from The Queen in the Mistlands.
How to Get It
The Queen is the sixth boss and the only one you fight inside a dungeon, the Infested Citadel buried in the Mistlands. To get in you need a Sealbreaker assembled from fragments scattered through Infested Mines, and a vegvisir in those same mines marks the citadel on your map. Your first fight with her needs no offering at the altar, but summoning her again costs Seeker Soldier trophies placed on the hive seat at the top of the citadel. She drops five Majestic Carapaces each time, whatever the world resource rate, and they teleport, so the walk home is the easy part. They are a different item from the plain Carapace that seekers drop.
