Carapace is the rare heavy armour material that still fits through a portal: a plate of chitin cut from the Seekers and Seeker Soldiers that patrol the Mistlands.
How to Get It
You fight for carapace rather than gather it. Seekers come out of the fog of the Mistlands and out of infested mines. The armoured Seeker Soldiers drop more of it and hit far harder than anything a Plains loadout is built for. Carry a Wisplight so you see them before they see you. Because carapace can be teleported, the hard part ends when the fight does.
