Moose Meat is the raw meat of the moose, and as its description says, it is sure to provide a hearty meal once cooked. It only cooks on an iron cooking station, where it turns into cooked moose meat. Four Deep North recipes use it raw: meat in bread, meatballs and poteitr, oven pancake batter and smoked moose meat. It weighs 1 and stacks to 20.

How to Get It

A moose drops four or five pieces, eight to ten at one star and sixteen to twenty at two. Moose roam the whole Deep North by day and night, usually alone, and every one is a fight. Each has 1,000 health, antlers that hit for 160 slash and hooves that hit for 150 blunt. They are weak to fire and resist blunt, slash and frost.

On the iron cooking station, each piece becomes cooked moose meat, worth 80 health and 27 stamina for 20 minutes. Leave it on the grill too long and it burns into coal, so take it off as soon as it is done.

The raw meat is worth more in the pot than on the grill. One piece with two kale makes smoked moose meat, 105 health and 35 stamina for 25 minutes. Add two kale, an oat flour and two lingonberries and it becomes meat in bread, 110 health and 37 stamina for 30 minutes, tied for the most health any food gives. With two lingonberries and two poteitr it makes meatballs and poteitr, an eitr meal worth 105 eitr, and it is also the meat in oven pancake batter. All four are made at a level 7 cauldron, except the batter, which needs level 6.

Notes

The four Cauldron recipes above all need the meat raw, so Cooked Moose Meat will not do. The Northern Morning Fare feast is the one that takes three cooked pieces.
Moose can be tamed with Lingonberries and bred.
The same kill also drops two Moose Hide and two Moose Sinew.
