Every long game piles up junk that will not stack, will not sell and is not worth the walk to a chest, and the Obliterator is Thor's answer to it. Load the box and pull the lever on the side: lightning comes down on everything inside and leaves Coal behind.
How to Build It
Building it takes eight Iron, four Copper and a single Thunder Stone bought from Haldor. Like the other metal stations, it needs a Forge nearby rather than a Workbench. Nothing that goes in ever comes back, so never treat it as storage. The return is poor on anything a Charcoal Kiln would take, since timber burns down to coal far better in the kiln. That leaves surplus trophies and worn-out gear as the things actually worth feeding it.
