A bar of Copper is the first real metal most players smelt, and the point where the Black Forest stops being a place to survive and becomes a place to mine. Put Copper Ore and fuel into a smelter and it comes out as bars.

How to Get It

Copper bars come from refining ore. Mine Copper Ore from the copper deposits of the Black Forest with an Antler Pickaxe, the one Eikthyr unlocks, then feed the ore and coal into a smelter. A second route opens much later in the Mistlands: tearing down dvergr metal walls at dwarf structures gives copper directly. Like every metal, copper cannot go through a wood portal, so bars and ore travel by cart, by longship or through a portal stone.

Notes

Like other metals, Copper can only be teleported through a Portal Stone, an Ashlands piece.
