Root drops from the abominations that heave themselves out of the reeds of the Swamp. It is flexible and durable at the same time, which is exactly what a light armour set needs.

How to Get It

Abominations lie motionless in open water and among the reeds, looking so much like tree stumps that most players walk past one before it stands up. Killing it is the whole task. It is weak to fire, so fire arrows work well, and slashing weapons such as axes and swords cut it down faster than blunt ones. Any tool tier will do as long as you can win a Swamp fight, which in practice means iron age gear and an answer to the poison around you. Roots can go through portals, so you can send a haul home without sailing it.
